The retreat on
Friday for single mothers was good. I told Victor that I could not have done
better, with or without cancer. The benefit of having cancer was that 1) people
(especially the retreat participants) prayed hard for me, 2) I had a testimony
to share in addition to the message, 3) I am more dependent on God and others
prayers. The negative side of having cancer was that 1) I felt vulnerable and
unsure whether I “can pull it off”, 2) I could not be too happy or excited
living with a metastasized cancer. It is a bit sad that there might not be
future opportunities to serve them.
Still the same prayer – Lord, how then should I
live?!
